BIM Intelligence
BIM Intelligence turns your Revit project into a live, explorable dashboard. Open it next to your model and get a clear picture of what's actually in the project, how well it's organized, and where it still needs attention — all without building a single schedule or view by hand.
How to use
-
Open BIM Intelligence from BimCode — launch it from the Revit ribbon, or from the BimCode chat or Plugins page. It opens alongside Revit and reads whatever project you currently have open, so you can keep working in both at once.
-
Overview — Start here for the big picture: how many elements and categories are in the model, how complete the data is, and how many warnings need attention. Switch between dashboards for different roles — Architect, BIM/VDC Manager, Structural, MEP, Project Manager, or Owner/Facilities — to see the numbers that matter most to you.
-
Model — Browse the building in 3D. Show or hide categories, click any element to see its properties, orbit or walk through the space, jump to standard views, slice through the model with a section plane or box, pull it apart with an explode view, and measure distances. Export what you're looking at as an image, a 3D file, or the underlying view data.
-
Data — Search and filter every element and type in the project — walls, doors, families, and everything else Revit tracks — and see every parameter available for each one. Look up what a data field means, see which families and types are used across the project and how often, and build your own counts, sums, and filters on the fly.
-
Graph — See how the model connects. Follow relationships between elements — what's on which level, what hosts what, what belongs to which system, group, or assembly — and search for a specific element or system to trace its connections visually.
-
Quality — Review Revit's warnings and coordination issues as one prioritized list, filterable by discipline. Click any finding to jump straight to the affected element in the Model workspace.
Good to know
-
Reads the Revit project you currently have open; use Refresh whenever you want the dashboard to catch up with changes you've just made.
-
BIM Intelligence opens as its own window alongside Revit, so it never locks you out of the model while it's open.
-
Selecting an element in any workspace highlights it — and its data — in the others, so you can move between workspaces without losing your place.
-
Panels can be dragged, resized, pinned, or tucked away, and each workspace remembers your layout the next time you open it.
-
Built to stay responsive on large, detailed projects — full detail loads for the element you've selected, not the entire model at once, so opening the dashboard doesn't mean waiting on everything.
-
If it's ever opened without a live connection to a Revit project, it shows a sample project instead, so every workspace is still there to explore.
