Turn a Revit view into an AI rendering study.
Use your model as the starting point for a visual conversation. BimCode can capture Revit views and generate images from your brief, helping you explore atmosphere, setting and materials alongside the model you are developing.

Start with the view and the visual question
Choose what the image should explain: the approach to a building, the character of a façade or the relationship to a street. Give BimCode the view, the desired setting and the visual qualities you want to explore.
In the recorded villa rendering demonstration, BimCode captures the model from several directions and generates images with city and village settings. The overview includes the session and its outputs; select the Rendering tab to see that example.
Compare directions before committing to one
A plain-language brief can describe the lighting, mood, materials and surroundings you want to investigate. Use follow-up requests to explore another direction and compare the images with the intent of your design.
Generated images can reinterpret geometry, openings and materials. They are visual studies, not proof of dimensional accuracy, constructability, daylight performance or code compliance. Check details against the Revit model before using an image to communicate a specific design commitment.
Develop texture images and Revit materials
An AI render is an image output. Creating textures and assigning materials in Revit is another workflow. In the recorded materials example, BimCode generates brick, stone, stucco and glazing images, creates Revit materials and applies them to relevant model elements.
Review a material in the model for scale, orientation, repetition and how it appears on the intended surface. Generating an attractive image does not by itself update the model or establish the material's technical properties.
Keep visual exploration connected to your BIM work
Rendering sits alongside BimCode's model tools, Family Design and plugin builder. You can develop the model in Revit, explore its appearance and return to the geometry when a design decision needs a model change.
BimCode runs inside Revit 2025, 2026 and 2027 on Windows. AI requests require an internet connection and use the selected model provider. Available image models and usage are governed by your current plan and account settings.
How to start
Choose the view
Open the relevant model and frame the part of the design you want to communicate.
Describe the image
Set out the atmosphere, materials, surroundings and purpose of the study, then generate a visual direction.
Compare with the model
Review the output for design intent and any reinterpreted details. Refine the image or make an explicit model change as needed.
Know what to expect.
- Can BimCode create AI renders from Revit?
- Yes. BimCode can capture model views and use them with your visual brief to generate images. The recorded overview includes a villa example in different settings.
- Does an AI render preserve every model detail?
- No. Image generation can reinterpret the source view. Compare the output with the Revit model, particularly geometry, openings and material details that matter to the design.
- Does generating a render modify the Revit model?
- An image-generation result is an image. Model changes, including assigning generated textures through Revit materials, are separate actions. Ask for and review those changes explicitly when you need them.
- Can I use an AI rendering as engineering evidence?
- A generated image supports visual exploration and communication. It does not establish dimensions, material performance, compliance or simulation results. Use the model and the relevant analysis workflows for those decisions.
