An AI agent that works inside Revit.
Describe the work you need to do. BimCode can inspect your active model, carry out modelling tasks, build a reusable plugin, create a family or develop an AI render. The conversation and the work stay connected inside Revit.

Ask about the model you are working on
A useful Revit AI assistant needs context. BimCode can read elements and parameters from the active document and capture model views to understand the task. Ask it to inspect a level, check the elements in a category or investigate the model before deciding what to change.
For architects, engineers and BIM coordinators, this connects the question to the actual project. The agent can query the model as it works; you do not have to describe every element in a separate chat window.
Move from a request to work in the model
BimCode can run model changes through the Revit API. In the recorded villa demonstration, it creates levels, walls, stairs, glazing and a roof from reference photographs, then revises the stairs, a floor opening and roof slope after a follow-up request.
That recording shows an iterative workflow: request, inspect, change and check. Direct model edits are grouped into a labelled Revit undo step per operation. Review the resulting geometry and parameters against your project requirements before using them in production.
Turn repeated work into a plugin
When a task will come back on the next floor or the next project, ask BimCode to build a tool for it. It creates the plugin, works through build errors and installs the result so you can run it from the Revit ribbon.
The community library provides another starting point: browse existing tools for documentation, model management and other Revit workflows. A ready-made plugin and a custom tool serve different needs, and both live within BimCode.
A BIM agent with more than one way to help
Family Design provides a dedicated workflow for a family brief, parameters and a native Revit result. AI rendering uses model views and a visual brief to explore materials, atmosphere and setting. Each workflow has its own page below, with examples and a clear explanation of what it produces.
BimCode currently supports Revit 2025, 2026 and 2027 on 64-bit Windows. An internet connection is required. Available plugins, AI use and custom plugin creation depend on your plan; current options are listed on the pricing page.
How to start
Open your project
Install BimCode, open Revit and sign in from the BimCode ribbon. Start with the model and view relevant to your task.
Describe the outcome
Give the agent the scope, selection rules and constraints. Say whether you want a model change or a reusable plugin.
Inspect and refine
Check the result in Revit, describe any corrections and repeat the workflow on an appropriate project sample.
Know what to expect.
- Is BimCode an AI agent or a Revit plugin?
- BimCode is installed as a Revit add-in and gives you an AI agent inside Revit. The agent can work with the model and build additional plugins that you run from the ribbon.
- Can the AI change my Revit model directly?
- Yes. BimCode has tools to inspect and modify the active Revit document. Creating a reusable plugin is a separate workflow, useful when you need the same operation again.
- Do I need to know the Revit API?
- You can describe the desired outcome in plain language. BimCode writes the code needed for its tools. You still define the project requirements and review the results in Revit.
- What information reaches the AI provider?
- The Revit project file stays on your machine. Your request, conversation, model data and view images read by the agent, and generated code can be sent to the selected AI provider to produce a response. The privacy and security pages explain that data flow.
