BIM QA/QC
BIM QA/QC checks your Revit model against a library of quality rules — missing information, inconsistent naming, elements that don't relate to each other the way they should, and more — and shows the evidence behind every result: which element, what was expected, what was actually found, and how to fix it. Run it before a drawing set goes out or a model gets shared, so problems get caught at your desk instead of in a coordination meeting.
How to use
- Open your project in Revit and launch BIM QA/QC from BimCode.
- Pick the rules you want from the rule library, or build your own — start from a blank rule or configure one of the ready-made checks in the catalogue.
- Run the check, on one rule, a chosen set, or everything you have enabled.
- Read the evidence. Each result shows the exact element, what was expected versus what was found, and how to fix it. Select it, zoom to it, or temporarily isolate every flagged element in the Revit view.
Good to know
- Ready-to-run checks out of the box cover common issues: unresolved warnings, empty sheets, unplaced rooms or spaces, missing door/window marks, view templates, imported CAD, unpinned links, and open MEP connections.
- The catalogue holds a much larger list of possible checks (1,145 in total). Only some are ready to run automatically; others need a manual look or aren't built yet, and the catalogue is upfront about which is which.
- A check that can only partly verify a condition is reported as inconclusive, never as a pass — treat it as a prompt to look closer, not a clean bill of health.
- One built-in check for sheet-number formatting ships turned off until you confirm your project's naming convention.
- Rules you create are kept separate from the built-in set and checked for mistakes as you save, so nothing gets overwritten or corrupted by accident.
- Rule sets can be exported and imported, so you can share them across projects or with your team without starting over.
- Every run is saved to a local history that can't be edited afterward, and can be exported as a report to share outside the app.
- Light and dark appearance are both supported and remembered between sessions.
- Built for Revit 2025.
