Pro Export Tools
Exports your sheets, views, and schedules to PDF, DWG, IFC, images, and
more in one batch, with consistent file names and a clear report of what
was delivered.
How to use
Open your project, then launch Pro Export Tools. The window stays
open beside Revit, so you can keep working while you set up the run.
Select what to deliver — any mix of sheets, views, schedules, and
3D views. Search and the source filters help you find things fast;
only the rows you tick join the queue.
Formats — tick every format the delivery needs: PDF, DWG, DXF,
DGN, DWF/DWFx, NWC, IFC, FBX, SAT, OBJ, STL, STEP, images (PNG,
JPEG, TIFF, BMP, Targa), an HTML image gallery, schedule
spreadsheets (CSV/TXT), and gbXML energy data. Each format has its
own settings panel — named DWG/DXF/DGN export setups, PDF quality
and paper placement, IFC and NWC options, and more. Sheets going to
DWG can be one self-contained file per sheet, or a sheet file with
external references for the placed views and links.
Output — pick the destination folder and, if you like, automatic
per-format subfolders. Build the file-naming rule from clickable
tokens — sheet number, sheet name, revision, project details, dates,
or any parameter in your project — plus prefix, suffix, and letter
case, with a live example as you build. Individual formats can
follow their own naming rule. Choose what happens when a file
already exists: keep both as numbered versions, overwrite, or skip.
Review — run the preflight check. It confirms every item and
format pair up sensibly, catches duplicate or over-long file paths,
and flags anything that would be skipped — before a single file is
written. Then press Start.
Watch progress file by file. Cancel the rest of the queue at any
time — the file currently being written finishes first. When the run
ends you get a summary and an optional spreadsheet report listing
every file, its status, and where it landed.
Good to know
Exporting never changes your model. No parameters are written and
nothing in the project is touched.
Incompatible pairings are handled for you: 3D formats such as IFC,
NWC, and STL only queue against 3D views, and schedule spreadsheets
only against schedules.
Numbered versioning is the default when a file already exists, so an
earlier delivery is never silently overwritten.
Save your formats, naming rules, and folder strategy as a named
profile and reuse it on the next delivery — or export the profile as
a small settings file to share with a teammate.
Revit's own background PDF mode can be switched on in supported
versions; Revit then manages that part of the queue itself.
Exporting to NWC requires Autodesk's free NWC export utility for your
version of Revit.
An illustrated tutorial is built into the window — click Help.
