Terms of Service
Last updated September 26, 2026
The ground rules for using BimCode. We've kept them readable. The short version: use it lawfully, what you build is yours, your requests to the assistant are handled by third-party AI providers under their terms, and review anything BimCode makes before it touches a live project.
1. Who we are and what you agree to
These terms are a contract between you and BIMME, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("BimCode", "we", "us"), the publisher of BimCode. They cover the BimCode website, the BimCode add-in for Autodesk Revit, and every plugin, library and AI feature we offer through them (together, "the service").
By creating an account, downloading the add-in or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle data. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you use BimCode on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it to these terms, and "you" means that organization as well as you.
2. The service
BimCode is a Revit add-in and a companion web service. It runs plugins published by BimCode, by your organization or by the community, inside Autodesk Revit on Windows. On plans that include it, the BimCode assistant also builds, edits and installs plugins from your natural-language instructions, and can read and change the model you have open when you ask it to.
Plugins are stored on your machine in encrypted form and open through a live check of your account. Running a plugin therefore needs an internet connection and a plan that includes running plugins. Without either, an installed plugin does not open.
Building and installing happen on your machine. The service is evolving: we may add, change or withdraw features, models and plugins over time, and we will give notice in advance where we reasonably can.
3. Beta service
BimCode is currently offered as a public beta. The service is still being refined: features may change, be added or be withdrawn, and you may meet errors, interruptions, or plugins that do not behave as expected. We may update, suspend or discontinue any part of the service during the beta, and will give notice in advance where we reasonably can.
During the beta you use the service for evaluation and at your own risk, and the "Warranties" and "Limitation of liability" sections below apply with particular force. Validate every plugin on a test model before relying on it for live project work, and keep your own backups of your Revit models.
If something goes wrong, tell us at info@bimcode.ai — reports from beta users are how the service improves.
4. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old, and able to enter into a binding contract, to use BimCode. The service is designed for professional and business use.
You are responsible for your account. Keep your sign-in details safe, give us accurate information, and tell us promptly at support@bimcode.ai if you suspect unauthorized use. Everything done under your account, and on machines signed in to it, is treated as done by you.
Accounts are personal. Do not share yours or use someone else's.
5. Plans
What you can do in BimCode depends on your plan. Current plans and prices are on our pricing page. In outline:
- The free plan is for getting set up: creating an account, organizing projects, exploring the workspace and browsing the community.
- Plans that run plugins without AI building (such as Essentials) let you install and run built-in and community plugins. They do not include building or editing plugins with the assistant.
- Pro and Max include AI building with a monthly usage allowance. The allowance resets at the start of each billing cycle, and unused allowance does not roll over.
- Team and Enterprise are billed per seat, with prepaid AI credits shared across the organization and managed by its administrators.
6. Usage, seats and limits
AI usage is measured in tokens, priced by the model that handles the request. Your allowance is enforced as a budget for the cycle: a request goes through only while allowance remains, and a long request may be stopped part-way when it runs out.
When an allowance is used up, plugins you have already built keep working. Building and editing with the assistant pause until the next cycle starts or you upgrade.
Your plan sets how many machines can be signed in to the add-in at once. Signing in on a further machine signs out the oldest one. Some plans cap how many community plugins you can install each month; a cap stops new installs, never plugins you already have.
We may apply reasonable rate and size limits to keep the service healthy for everyone.
7. Payment, renewal and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store your card number. Organization plans may instead be invoiced on agreed payment terms.
You can upgrade at any time. The upgrade applies immediately and you are charged a prorated amount for the rest of the current period. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current period.
You can cancel at any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, are not charged again, and can resume the plan until that date. Cancellation is not available while an invoice on your account is unpaid; settle the balance and it becomes available at once.
If a payment fails, your plan pauses from the first failed charge: AI features and plugins that need a paid plan stop working until the invoice is paid, and access returns automatically once it is.
If a plan offers a free trial, it is limited to one per account, needs a payment method on file, may carry its own smaller usage allowance, and becomes a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Cancelling during a trial costs nothing.
Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase, other than taxes on our income. We may change our prices; a change to an existing subscription takes effect from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does.
8. Partner program
Partners we invite may share a link to BimCode. When someone creates an account through that link and pays for a plan or credits, the partner earns a share of the amounts we receive from that account during an agreed period (twelve months unless agreed otherwise), at the rate agreed with the partner. Commission becomes payable thirty days after the payment and is cancelled if the payment is refunded or disputed. We pay partners monthly once their balance reaches fifty US dollars. Partners may not earn on their own accounts, and we may end a partnership at any time for misuse.
If you arrive through a partner's link, we keep the partner's code with your account so we can pay them. The partner sees only counts and amounts, never your name or email.
9. Your plugins and what you own
The plugins you build with BimCode, and their source code, are yours. You may use them in your work, keep them, and share them through the channels the service provides. We claim no ownership of them. A few practical points follow from how the service protects plugins:
- Your plugins are stored on your machine in encrypted form and open through a live check of your account. Running them needs an internet connection and a plan that includes running plugins.
- Viewing, editing or duplicating a plugin's source needs a plan that includes source access.
- Plugins delivered to you from your organization's library, the community or BimCode's own catalog are read-only copies. You may not edit them in place, extract them or re-share them. Where your plan includes source access and the source is available to you, you can duplicate one to make your own copy.
- Copies you sync between machines or share through the service are stored on our servers in encrypted form. We hold the keys that unlock them, not readable content, and we release a key only to an account that is entitled to it. A plugin you export as a file carries the same protection, and whoever receives it needs their own entitled account to open it.
- If your plan ends or lapses, your plugins stay on your machine but do not open until a plan that includes them is active again.
10. Sharing and publishing
You can share a plugin with your organization or publish it to the community. When you do, you confirm that you own it or have the right to share it, that it contains nothing unlawful, infringing or harmful, and that you have the rights to anything in it that came from someone else.
You grant BimCode a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, review, copy, distribute and display the plugin, its source where you include it, and its listing (name, description and images) in order to operate the service — for as long as it stays shared, and afterwards for copies already delivered.
Every version published to the community is reviewed by BimCode before it is listed, and a newer version waits for review while the last approved one keeps serving. Sharing with an organization goes through that organization's own review. Review is a safety check, not a guarantee, and it does not make us the author of a plugin.
We may reject, delist or disable any plugin, including copies already installed, if it is harmful, infringing or misleading, breaks these terms or the law, or if a court or authority requires it. If you withdraw a listing, it stops receiving updates and copies already installed keep working. If a plugin is removed from the catalog altogether, copies delivered from it stop opening.
You are responsible for what you publish, including how it behaves inside other people's Revit. We do not pay for plugins shared through the service, and we do not guarantee that a listing will be accepted or stay listed. When you install a plugin someone else shared, you use it at your own risk.
11. Organizations
An organization on a Team or Enterprise plan is managed by its administrators. They decide which plugins members receive, set members' usage allowances, manage seats, and can add or remove members. Members act within the limits their administrators set.
Whoever sets up an organization confirms they are authorized to bind it to these terms. The organization is responsible for its members' use of the service and for its invoices. If an organization's invoice goes unpaid, we may suspend the organization; while it is suspended, its members' access to plan features pauses until the balance is settled.
On plans that include it, an organization may connect its own AI provider account or endpoint. Requests routed through it are handled and charged by that provider under its own terms, not ours.
Who owns a plugin a member builds with the organization's plan — the member or the organization — is for them to settle; these terms do not decide it.
12. AI features and third-party model providers
When you use BimCode's AI features, the content of your request leaves our systems. Your prompts and the conversation, the element data and view images the assistant reads from your model, and the code it writes are sent to third-party AI model providers to generate a response. Today these providers are Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, Moonshot and Z.ai; which one handles a request depends on the model you, or your organization, select. Usage is measured in tokens, and those tokens are processed by the provider under the provider's own terms and privacy policy, not ours. BimCode does not control what a provider does with data once it has left our systems beyond the contractual terms that provider offers. If your organization connects its own provider account or endpoint, that provider's terms govern those requests. Do not include personal data, or information you are not permitted to share with those providers, in your requests.
The same applies to anything else you give the assistant or ask it to look at — files you attach, images, and web pages it fetches or searches for you — and to images the service generates for you. We do not review a model's output before it reaches you.
We may change which models and providers we offer at any time. Providers set their own availability, limits and content rules, and a provider outage or refusal can affect the assistant.
13. AI output and your professional responsibility
Generated plugins, scripts, answers and renders can be wrong, incomplete or unsafe, and can behave differently from one run to the next. They are tools, not advice. Nothing BimCode produces is engineering, architectural, structural, code-compliance or other professional advice, and it does not replace the judgment of a qualified professional.
You are responsible for reviewing, testing and approving anything BimCode produces before it touches a live project — on a test model first. When the assistant changes a model you have open, or a plugin you run changes it, that change is yours to check. Keep independent backups of your models.
You are responsible for the models, drawings and deliverables you produce with the service, and for meeting the standards, codes, licensing and professional requirements that apply to your work. Plugins and the assistant run on your machine with your permissions; only run what you have reviewed.
14. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service, or anything you build with it, for anything unlawful, or to infringe or violate anyone's rights, including intellectual-property and privacy rights.
- Share or publish plugins or content that are malicious or deceptive, or designed to damage, spy on or take over someone else's models, machines or accounts.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, extract or tamper with the service, the add-in or the encrypted packages that protect plugins, or try to run or open a plugin your account is not entitled to.
- Circumvent or interfere with plan limits, seats, allowances, licence checks, the review process or any security measure.
- Share your account, resell or redistribute access to the service, or offer the service to third parties as your own.
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-copy the service, the community or its listings, or access the service by automated means other than the interfaces we provide.
- Place abusive load on the service, or probe or test its security without our permission.
- Submit content to the assistant that you are not permitted to share with us or with the AI providers described above, or use its output to build or train a competing service.
15. Intellectual property
The service — the website, the add-in, our built-in plugins, our models and prompts, and the BimCode name and branding — belongs to us and our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it, within your plan, for as long as these terms are in force. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of it to you.
On plans that include it, you may duplicate a built-in plugin to make your own editable copy for your own use. You keep ownership of what you build and of the content you upload, as described above. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without obligation to you.
16. Third-party services
Autodesk and Revit are trademarks of Autodesk, Inc. BimCode is an independent product: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Autodesk. Your use of Revit is governed by Autodesk's own terms, and you need a valid Revit licence to use BimCode.
We rely on third parties to sign you in, process payments, host the service and provide AI models. Each handles data under its own terms; our Privacy Policy describes who they are and what they receive.
Plugins shared by other users or organizations are theirs, not ours. We review community listings, but we do not author or warrant them.
17. Suspension and termination
You can stop using BimCode at any time, and you can close your account by writing to info@bimcode.ai. Closing your account ends your access to the service; fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires.
We may suspend or terminate your account, or restrict features, if you break these terms, fall behind on payment, create risk or legal exposure for us or for other users, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. We may also pause AI features for everyone for a time to protect the service — for example when platform-wide usage crosses a safety limit — and we may retire the service on reasonable notice.
When your account ends, your right to use the service ends and plugins that rely on an entitled account stop opening. Copies of plugins you shared that were already delivered to others stay with them. The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue — ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — survive.
18. Warranties
The service, everything it produces and every plugin delivered through it are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties or promises of any kind, express or implied — including that the service will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted, secure or error-free; that generated code, answers or renders will be correct, complete or fit for any purpose; that plugins will work with your version of Revit; or that defects will be fixed. No advice or information from us creates a warranty.
Some laws do not allow certain warranty exclusions. Where that applies to you, the exclusions apply only as far as the law permits.
19. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, BimCode and its owners, staff and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for the cost of substitute services — however caused and even if we were told they were possible. In particular, we are not liable for the results of code the assistant writes or runs, for changes to your models, or for a plugin shared by someone else.
Our total liability for everything arising out of or connected with the service or these terms, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
20. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless BimCode and its owners, staff and suppliers from any claim, loss, liability, damage and expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from: your content or plugins, including anything you share or publish; your use of the service or of anything it produces, including any model, drawing or deliverable you produce with it; your breach of these terms or of the law; or your violation of someone else's rights. We may take over the defence of a claim you must indemnify, and you will cooperate with us.
21. Export and sanctions
You may not use the service if you are, or act for, a person or entity subject to sanctions, or from a country or region under comprehensive sanctions, and you must comply with the export-control and sanctions laws that apply to you.
22. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, tell you through the service or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use BimCode after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not accept a change, stop using the service and, if you have a subscription, cancel it before the change applies.
23. General
A few standard points:
- Assignment — you may not transfer these terms or your account to anyone else without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or to a successor of our business.
- Severability — if any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force, and the unenforceable part is replaced by an enforceable one that is closest in intent.
- No waiver — if we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
- Entire agreement — these terms, our Privacy Policy and any plan or order you accept are the whole agreement between you and us about the service, and replace any earlier terms. Where an organization has a separate signed agreement with us, that agreement prevails where the two conflict.
- Force majeure — we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages at the third-party providers we depend on.
- Notices — we may notify you at the email address on your account. You can notify us at the addresses below.
24. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory protections of your place of residence.
Before starting a claim, you agree to write to us first and give us thirty days to try to resolve it with you.
